Getting Started with "Quick Add Item"

Initial Launch

When the Quick Add Item app is installed as a workspace app or a board view, it will open up as the following.
The board dropdown will be empty.

 

Board Selected

When a board is selected, all the supported fields will be listed with the order they appear on the board. It will create in item type by default.

Supported Columns

Quick Add Item app supports all columns that monday.com’s API supports. 
The following columns are all supported:

Item Created

  • When you click the create button, an item will be created.
  • An information bar will appear at the top on green.
  • For 3 seconds, you can undo and remove this item.
  • Then you can click “Go to Item” and open it up on a separate tab.
  • You can click the x button to dismiss this information bar.

Subitem Creation

When you check the “Create as a subitem“, it will open with less fields.

  • Parent Item should be selected from the dropdown.
  • A name should be given to this subitem.

Copy Link

When you click the “Copy Link” button, it will copy the item’s/subitem’s link to the clipboard.

Clear Form

When you click the “Clear” button, the form will refresh where:
  • The board will still be selected,
  • Other fields will be empty,
  • It will be on the item create state.

For all your questions and issues, you can click the Contact button at the top right corner and fill up the form that opens up.
